South Carolina sports betting bill expansion introduced
South Carolina state legislator introduced a new bill in the House, planning to legalize online and retail sports betting in the Palmetto State. The bill will allow for 8 to 12 sports betting platform operators, whom must be partnered with a state entity to operate. A more interesting part of the bill is a mention of Cryptocurrency and digital currency as a funding mechanism. The bill is estimated to bring in close to $40 million a year in revenue for the state.
