Illinois handles nearly $61 Million in Super Bowl 56 Bets
Since Illinois legalized sports betting less than 2 years ago, more than $7 billion has been wagered whether it has been online or in person. Bettors on the big game this year had a 33% increase over last years total wagers at $45.6 million. Most wagering this year was done online with a sportsbook, which have taken over the market in Illinois.

Illinois recently set a state record with a handle of $840 million in the month of December, and along with that Illinois is looking to open sports books at its stadiums such as Wrigley field and the United center.
