Georgia sports betting latest news

Georgia has been working through the process to legalize sports betting, however no bills have been passed at this time. Several key members of the state government have voiced their support for legalization, with House Speaker David Ralston suggested Georgia voters make the choice on sports betting.

Georgia at this time has not legalized any forum of gambling in the state, however daily fantasy sports wagering is allowed and offered by FanDuel and DraftKings  . Georgia has historically had very strict laws on gambling, so it should not be a surprise that it is only now making progress.
