BetMGM Launches Mobile Sports Betting App in Puerto Rico

BetMGM has launched its mobile sports betting app in Puerto Rico in collaboration with Casino del Mar at La Concha Resort. This marks the second market outside of the U.S. mainland where BetMGM has introduced its mobile sports betting app. Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, expressed excitement about being the first operator to offer mobile sports betting in Puerto Rico. Colorado Sports Betting Sees Year-on-Year Growth, April Wagers Drop

According to the Colorado Division of Gaming’s monthly revenue report, licensed sports betting operators in Colorado reported accepting $417.8 million in wagers during April. Although this represents a 15.5% decrease compared to March, it marks a 6.5% increase compared to the same period in 2022. Among sports wagers, basketball attracted the most bets, with local sports fans wagering $136.6 million on the sport in April. Baseball followed with $88.4 million in wagers, and ice hockey with $31 million. The Colorado Department of Revenue reported that gross gaming revenue (GGR) from sports betting in April reached approximately $35.1 million, indicating a significant year-on-year increase of 55.3%. Maryland Expands Mobile Sports Wagering with 10 Approved Apps, Including Fanatics

Maryland now has a total of 10 approved mobile sports wagering apps operating in the state, with Fanatics being the newest addition. The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission has granted a mobile sports wagering license to Maryland Stadium Sub, LLC, which operates as Fanatics Sportsbook. In addition to the mobile sports betting apps, Maryland also has 10 retail sports wagering facilities. However, the majority of fan bets are placed through the mobile apps. In April, the sportsbooks in Maryland processed over $328.4 million in bets, with approximately 95.4% of the total coming from mobile apps.
