New Jersey’s combined gambling revenues for February amounted to $412 million, up by 10.4% YoY but down by 5.6% from January. Online Sports Betting in New York Ahead of Last Year, March Madness Expected to Boost Industry

The online sports betting industry in New York is ahead of where it was last year, with operators combining for $1.47 billion in accepted bets in February and nearly $3.3 billion over the first two months of 2023. The upcoming NCAA Tournament, March Madness, is expected to provide another boost to the industry and could generate up to $15.5 billion in handle, according to a survey by the American Gaming Association. Macau Eases Entry Measures for Mainland China Travelers from Hong Kong

Macau has eased its entry measures for travelers from Hong Kong to mainland China, allowing them to enter directly without needing to provide a negative nucleic acid test or show the Macau Health Code, provided they haven’t been in Taiwan or other foreign countries within seven days prior to departure. The move is aimed at improving circulation between the SARs and the mainland and encouraging multi-destination tourism. The quarantine requirements for those aged above 3 and have traveled to or resided in Taiwan region or foreign countries remain unchanged. Macau and Hong Kong are both undergoing a continual opening up, with the lifting of mask mandates in most outdoor and indoor settings.
