New Jersey has just unveiled their monthly revenue report from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and the numbers for October show $441.1 million, a 1% drop from Septembers report. Casinos were responsible for the majority of the revenue totaling $214.5 million with their nine operators showing a year-to-date win of $2.57 billion, a gain of 9.7% when compared to 2021. Online gaming in the state came in second with $146.2 million in revenue, a 23.9% year on year boost. Sports betting saw a decline this month down 29.9% year on year with $80.4 million from $1.1 billion in bets placed. These reduced sports betting numbers can attributed to its neighboring state New York, as they have just recently launched sports betting and are on track to becoming one of the gambling hubs of the world posting record revenue in its starting period.
