A recent study conducted by the gaming provider and creator Light & Wonder found that the expansion of legal online casinos in more states would help boost the countries revenue by over $30 billion while having $6.35 billion in tax revenue. The estimate of $6.35 billion in tax is based off an assumed 20% tax rate for the new states. Light & Wonder’s global head Howard Glaser stated, “States are leaving billions of dollars in tax revenue on the table which could fund a variety of public programs and services without resorting to broad-based taxes.”
