Apollo Global considers merging Yahoo Sports with a sports betting company

Apollo Global Management acquired Yahoo from Verizon for $5 Billion last year and they are now reportedly having discussions with sports betting companies. One of the companies Yahoo has spoken with is PointsBet Holdings, who is actually looking to take more steak in the Online Sports Betting market while others like Caesars Sports Book are slowing down with promotions and advertisement. All talks of the merger are in very early stages, Yahoo has not settled on a target and may not make a deal at all. Yahoo Sports has been an early provider for fantasy sports and continues to have millions of players.
