Finger Lakes casino sold to Churchill Downs

With skyrocketing revenues coming from mobile sports betting in New York, the Kentucky-based company Churchill Downs has announced the acquisition of the del Lago Resort and Casino del Lago Resort in Seneca County, NY. The Finger lakes resort and casino sale comes with a hefty price tag of $2.5 billion, a deal with the current owner the Peninsula Pacific Entertainment LLC. Along with the casino sale part of the deal states that Churchill will also take over the gaming assets in Virginia and their casino operations in Iowa from Peninsula Pacific Entertainment LLC.
